Hey! My name is Lauren Perry. And I say Perry because I’m too lazy to change my last name to match my huband’s. I was born and raised in Alaska…yes, Alaska and what you’ve heard is true. It’s cold and dark in the winter but the sun never sets in the summer.
I recently moved to San Diego, CA after spending the last 7 years in Seattle. I moved to Seattle when I was just 23, fresh out of college (Go Cougs!) with no idea what I wanted to do with my life. Then, it hit me. Well…kind of. I took a cycle class and my love for cycling quickly evolved into the opening of my very own studio. Through years of building a brand, managing a team, and HUNDREDS of cycling classes later, I’ve learned some pretty amazing life lessons.
In 2019, the business I built from the ground up was voted the number one fitness studio in all of Seattle and I was voted best fitness instructor in Seattle by Classpass. I don’t say this to toot my own horn, but rather because I am f***ing proud of it. AND, because I want you to know you can be proud of your accomplishments too. It took many failures before reaching my version of success and took many tries to build my confidence as an entrepreneur but I’m still learning and more importantly, still standing (even after COVID nearly wiped out every small business). Don’t Sweat it is my way of sharing all of the lessons I’ve learned so far. Lessons of inspiration, lessons of motivation, and the lessons that made me laugh to keep you going in your own journey.
